Gamlebyen Street Festival

We have recently started working on this year’s Gamlebyen Gatefestival (Street Festival), our very own music and food festival for the entire family, that takes place at Gamlebyen Loft in August 2022. The festival is made through a collaboration between many local companies, such as Fuglen, Gamlebyen Mat & Drikke and Jansen Records, and more tenants at the loft.

It all started in 2020 during the pandemic, when we were able to create one of the few festivals that was arranged that year, thanks to funds from Oslo Kommune. In 2021 we came back even stronger, supported by a silent sponsor, and almost doubled the amount of visitors despite covid still being present. We have previously hosted artists such as Fieh, Death by Unga Bunga, Third Attempt, Orions Belte, Kristoffer Eikrem, Nyberg - Nodeland quartet, Emile the Duke and many more. We have also offered a disco party for children, drag show, clown performance, arts and crafts market, free yoga and lots of delicious food and drinks.

This year we have started the planning early, both because we want the festival to be a reliable destination for food, art, music and good times in Gamlebyen, and also because it’s just SO much fun planning an event that brings people together in the summer sun (or rain) for some quality time with their friends and family.

Want to take part in the festival somehow? Reach out to Gamlebyen Loft’s community manager Karina to start the conversation.
